Job summary

Valinor Dispatch is seeking a Lead Robotics Engineer to own the autonomy stack end to end for defense-focused unmanned systems. You will guide architecture, mentor engineers, and drive from concept through field deployment, ensuring robust, field-ready autonomy across perception, planning and control.

You will work with PX4/ArduPilot, MoveIt/OMPL, ROS/ROS2, and sensor fusion to deliver reliable autonomous platforms in rugged environments. A US security clearance is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Robotics, EE/ME, Aerospace Engineering or Computer Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own the full autonomy stack across aerial platforms and robotic manipulators from concept to field deployment.
• Lead integration and tuning of flight control software (PX4/ArduPilot or in‑house controllers).
• Design and bring up robotic arm systems with sim-to-real validation and on‑hardware tuning.
• Develop computer vision and sensor‑fusion pipelines for navigation, docking and target detection.
• Collaborate with mechanical/electrical/software teams for seamless integration.
• Establish standards for simulation, testing and safe field operation.
• Mentor a small team of robotics and software engineers in lab and field environments.
