Silverthorne Advisory Group is seeking a Federal Financial Management & Audit Readiness Consultant to support a growing Defense sector opportunity. You will help strengthen federal financial practices, improve audit readiness, and integrate internal controls into large-scale enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate has 2–10+ years in federal financial management, accounting, internal controls, or audit readiness, and is comfortable collaborating with government stakeholders, external auditors,

• 2–10+ years of relevant federal financial management, accounting, auditing, internal controls, or audit readiness experience.
• Knowledge of federal financial management requirements, audit protocols, and audit readiness practices.
• Familiarity with federal regulatory guidance and standards issued by the Department of the Treasury, GAO, OMB, or other relevant agencies.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and coordinate effectively with stakeholders across different organizations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university.
• Interim Secret security clearance or higher; sponsorship may be available.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate financial risks and controls to support integration into large-scale enterprise systems.
• Participate in system evaluations and design activities throughout the SDLC.
• Develop and update Process Control Narratives (PCNs).
• Apply NIST SP 800-53 and FISCAM guidance to strengthen internal controls and auditability.
• Support Business Process Reviews (BPRs) and develop documentation to improve processes.
• Assist with Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and resolving NFRs.
• Support ongoing audit readiness initiatives and improve reporting and efficiency.
• Coordinate with government clients, IPAs, and agencies on milestones.
• Manage multiple priorities and communicate progress to stakeholders.
