Job summary

Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, seeks an Operations Lead to drive technical execution for a DoD program in the Columbia, MD area. You will blend engineering hands-on work with technical leadership, overseeing a distributed team and coordinating system architecture, security, and program delivery.

The role requires deep experience in defense cyber operations, systems engineering across Windows/Linux/ESXi, and strong customer-facing communication to support program reviews and milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 12+ years of hands-on experience in systems engineering across Windows, Linux, ESXi, and related architectures.
• 5+ years of experience with defensive cyberspace TTPs and DoD/federal cyber organizations.
• Deep knowledge of systems architecture design, network protocols, and defense-in-depth practices.
• Experience with defensive cyber tools (Splunk, Elastic, Zeek, Palo Alto, VMware).
• Experience with virtualization management (vCenter, Kubernetes) and automation (Ansible, Python).
• Proven leadership of technical teams and delivery of large-scale DoD programs (>=$25M).
• Strong customer-facing communication and ability to influence in matrixed orgs.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on engineering tasks across the program lifecycle, including systems architecture, integration, and problem-solving.
• Perform hardware setup, cabling, and configuration in data centers, labs, and staging environments.
• Research and evaluate defensive cyberspace operations, TTPs, and threats targeting DoD networks.
• Direct a distributed technical team across multiple locations, with a focus on Columbia, MD.
• Engage with customers to identify requirements and participate in technical reviews and milestones.
• Coordinate activities across system administration, security, supply chain, and service delivery; maintain runbooks.
