Job summary

SteerBridge seeks a Security Architect to define the security architecture and compliance strategy for a Defense Aviation platform in AWS GovCloud for federal customers. You will own the security blueprint, including controls, identity, zero-trust access, monitoring, and authorization strategy, guiding the platform toward ATO.

The role collaborates with architects, security and cloud engineers, data teams, and stakeholders, translating DoD requirements into enforceable designs.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required for clearance.
• 10+ years in security with 3+ years in architecture leadership.
• Experience with zero-trust architectures (ZTNA/SASE).
• Strong DoD security framework knowledge: DoDI 8510, CNSSI 1253, STIGs.
• Experience guiding systems through ATO processes.

Responsibilities

• Define the security architecture for AWS GovCloud workloads, including identity, zero-trust, segmentation, encryption and monitoring.
• Design and own the zero-trust access architecture using Zscaler to broker secure access.
• Lead security alignment with DoD requirements and ATO processes.
• Produce security architecture documentation, control mappings and risk assessments.
• Mentor engineers and guide security across multidisciplinary teams.
