Job summary

Amentum is seeking a CAD Designer and Documentation Specialist to support the development of innovative operational test systems for a NAVAIR program. The role focuses on creating and revising CAD drawings, with documentation duties and revision control to meet program requirements.

Collaborate with project engineers, systems developers, and government stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of design and documentation materials. Requires Secret clearance and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in drafting/CAD/engineering graphics.
• Experience creating engineering drawings or CAD models for defense-related programs.
• Familiar with revision control for technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create and update detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings for test system components.
• Develop and maintain engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Design assembly and fabrication drawings meeting MIL-STD-31000.
• Incorporate path loss compensation and calibration requirements.
• Create 3D models for fixtures and components for fabrication.
