Emergent Holdings, Inc. seeks a Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney for an in-house litigation role under the General Counsel.

The position involves defending litigated workers’ compensation claims across hearing locations, managing a reasonable caseload, and advising on strategic posture to resolve matters ethically. The ideal candidate has in-depth workers’ compensation experience, knowledge of insurance laws, and demonstrates leadership and strong advocacy.

Formación

• Minimum 4 years of workers’ compensation legal experience.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations governing insurance.
• Ability to understand complex legal issues.
• Ability to interface with legal counsel and business groups at all levels.
• Effective leadership, management and advocacy skills.
• Excellent project management skills; ability to work from a remote location with a paperless environment.

Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney

Sign on Bonus - $5000-$8000. Seeking Attorneys Licensed to Practice in:

Workers Compensation Defense Attorney needed for in-house litigation position, working under the direction of the General Counsel. These positions will appear and defend litigated Workers’ Compensation claims before hearing locations across various venues. Manage a reasonable caseload of workers’ compensation defense files, recommending strategic posture and working files to conclusion consistent with all ethical duties.

• Responsible for applying legal principles, knowledge and skills based on experience.
• Evaluates and selects appropriate legal techniques, procedures and criteria using judgment in solving legal issues.
• Drafts and/or dictates legal correspondence and memorandums and works with minimal supervision on all assigned matters.
• Conducts legal research and offers timely legal opinions and advice upon reasonable demand.
• Provides objective assessment of risk areas.
• Works on special projects as assigned.
