Job summary

onsemi is offering a Defect Inspection summer internship in Hopewell Junction, NY, for engineering students. You will gain hands-on experience with defect inspection tools, work with senior engineers, and participate in real projects to reduce defectivity in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

The program provides pathways toward full-time roles with rotational tracks in engineering, data analytics, and finance, and offers competitive pay with a base range of $26.00–$44.00 per hour, plus

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS degree in electrical, computer or materials engineering or related field.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
• Familiar with Java, Python, R or other modern languages.
• Familiar with SQL.
• Preferred: Power BI or other BI platforms.
• Experience with semiconductor processing coursework.

Responsibilities

• Generate defect Pareto charts and identify root causes with module teams.
• Improve DOI detection with defect application engineers.
• Create and execute DOE, analyze data, and communicate results with recommendations.
• Understand statistical concepts (multivariate and univariate analysis).
• Demonstrate project management by defining milestones and timelines.
