Friedman Vartolo LLP seeks top default litigators for its Philadelphia or Marlton, NJ offices. The role involves handling a wide array of contested matters, including motions, appeals, and evidentiary hearings, with a strong emphasis on rigorous writing and research.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of independent motion practice, PA/NJ/NY admission (NY a plus), and a demonstrated ability to manage heavy workloads while delivering high-quality advocacy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience independently handling contested motion practice.
• Admission to practice law in PA; NJ and/or NY license a plus.
• Willingness to waive into additional jurisdictions.
• Superior writing, research, and oral advocacy abilities.
• Capable of managing a heavy workload and producing a significant amount of legal work.

Responsibilities

• Drafting of motions, briefs, and memorandums of law.
• Conducting legal research.
• Appearing on a wide range of court appearances including high level contested motions and evidentiary hearings.
• Responding to relevant discovery related requests and motion practice.
• Maintaining responsibility for all aspects of respective contested cases, including devising legal strategies and executing on legal strategies.
