Job summary

GLP Transit in Columbus, OH seeks a CDL driver responsible for the safe operation of DEF trucks, loading/unloading, and daily vehicle maintenance. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance and quality service. Requirements include a valid CDL Class A/B, Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, TWIC or ability to obtain within 30 days, and DOT drug testing.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with an acceptable driving record.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• TWIC credential required or within 30 days of hire.
• Must pass DOT required pre-employment drug testing and random testing.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA qualification standards including Medical Certificate.
• Ability to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
• Prior fuel, petroleum, or hazardous material transport experience preferred.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads DEF trucks following Company and Government regulations.
• Operates trucks safely according to policies and laws.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and replaces gaskets, nozzles, and related parts.
• Performs safety inspections on trucks and equipment.
• Checks oil, water, fuel, tires, and tank-related items daily.
• Reports equipment malfunctions to Fleet Manager.
• Completes and transmits paperwork per established procedures.
• Uses loading arms, card readers, spill kits, and fire extinguishers.
