Qualifications

Requires 2-year technical degree (construction or mechanical) and 7+ years journeyman level industrial electrical experience.
Experience with DEEW processes and permit management is highly desirable.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and client DEEW standards preferred.

Responsibilities

Supports the DEEW coordination submission process for the project team; ensures PMs, CCs, and Trades comply with DEEW processes.
Manages de-energized electrical work permitting; coordinates electrical downtime with construction and factory stakeholders for safe, efficient work.
Acting as technical consultant to client PM/CC, GC and Trade Contractors on DEEW requirements.
Attend daily DEEW Planning and Coordination meetings; review DEEW permits for accuracy, safety and business impact.
Stay apprised of DEEW concerns and issues; audit and coach employees/contractors on DEEW permits.
Investigate DEEW-related safety and ITP incidences; stop unsafe practices without completed DEEWs or approved permits.
Be first point of contact for trade personnel for issue resolution related to DEEWs.
Participate in SOP and perform DEEW and Pre-Task Plan audits for client requirements compliance.
Maintain knowledge of direct/indirect impact on support systems and fabrication equipment; understand multiple trades and practices.
