Job summary

Danos, LLC is seeking a Deepwater Operator B to oversee start‑up, operation, monitoring and shutdown of offshore process and utility systems in Houma, LA. You will ensure parameters stay within limits and act on samples to optimize production and safety.

Responsibilities include monitoring process data, maintaining safety systems, completing daily production reporting, and coordinating logistics with maintenance and vendors offshore. Offshore readiness and SEMS compliance are required.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years offshore production operator experience.
  • Associate or Technical degree in Process Technology preferred.
  • Knowledge of BSEE offshore regulations and SEMS.
  • Medically fit to ENG1 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Start up, operate, monitor, and shut down process and utility systems.
  • Monitor and optimize process parameters (level, flow, temperature, pressure).
  • Ensure sampling is carried out and results acted upon.
  • Troubleshoot to maximize quality and delivery volume.
  • Maintain discharge water quality per SBMPC/local guidelines.
  • Operate electrical/hydraulic control panels and safety systems.
  • Submit accurate daily production reports.
  • Witness third‑party calibrations for meter verification.
  • Prove export oil meters.
  • Coordinate facility logistics and offshore operations.
  • Follow PTW system, Toolbox Talks, and Risk Assessments.
  • Advise maintenance on hazards and safe practices.
  • Maintain clear communications with maintenance and vendor staff.
  • Foster a positive work culture.

Overview

The Deepwater Operator B is responsible for the start-up, operation, monitoring, and shutdown of process and utility systems. This role ensures that process parameters are maintained within operating requirements, samples are taken and acted upon, and troubleshooting is performed to optimize sales quality and delivery volume.

Responsibilities
  • Start up, operate, monitor, and shut down process and utility systems.
  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize process parameters (level, flow, temperature, pressure, etc.) within operating requirements.
  • Ensure sampling is carried out and sample results are acted upon.
  • Troubleshoot to maximize sales quality and delivery volume to identify problems.
  • Maintain discharge water quality within current SBMPC or local guidelines.
  • Monitor and operate electrical/hydraulic control panels, safety and emergency shutdown devices, Fire and Gas Systems.
  • Ensure accurate production reporting is submitted daily or as required by the company and client.
  • Witness third-party calibrations when appropriate to provide verification of meter factors and volumes.
  • Prove export oil meters.
  • Carry out all operations in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Operate offshore production facility in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Test, calibrate, maintain, and inspect equipment.
  • Perform mandatory paperwork required by customer and government agencies.
  • Coordinate logistics for the facility.
  • Chemical treating and handling.
  • Facilitate maintenance operations by applying/removing isolations as required.
  • Operate under PTW system, Toolbox Talk, and Risk Assessments.
  • Advise maintenance personnel on hazards of plant and equipment.
  • Maintain clear and precise communications during maintenance operations.
  • Control activities of vendor and subcontractor personnel.
  • Create and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Create and maintain a positive work culture.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or eqivalent required.
  • Associate or Technical degree in Process Technology preferred.
  • 2-4 years experience as a production operator working offshore on a production platform.
  • Deepwater experience preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of BSEE offshore production regulations and SEMS requirements.
  • Good experience with Permit to Work.
  • Medically fit to offshore international standards such as ENG1 or equivalent.
