Job summary

Cache Creek Casino Resort is seeking a kitchen steward to keep all restaurant and kitchen areas clean and organized. You will clean and sanitize all equipment, manage waste and floors, and assist in food preparation when needed. No prior experience is required, and the role requires being at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes all kitchen equipment.
• Ensures all trash cans in kitchen and restaurant areas are emptied as needed.
• Disposes of cooking oil into the oil bin daily.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen and dish room floors at the end of each shift.
• Sweep and mop EDR as needed and in a timely manner.
• Washes restaurant, Bingo Snack Bar, kitchen, EDR and dish room mats as required.
• Wipes down all kitchen walls.
• Cleans storage racks in walk-ins and dry storage racks.
• Cleans ovens and warmers.
• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains all stations.
• Maintains kitchen vents and hoods and deep cleans per schedule.
• Helps cook and prepare food when needed.
• Maintains a safe, sanitary and accident-free environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary

Ensures all soiled dishes in the restaurants, EDR, Bingo, server areas and kitchen have been cleaned thoroughly. Cleans and maintain all kitchen machinery as well as the dishwashing area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

No prior experience or training.

Age Requirement

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Language Skills

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Needs to be able to sign in and out on break list and chemical labels.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
