Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher(s) with student academic goals by working with small groups or individually.
• Assist in enforcing classroom management and behavioral plans to maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Supervise students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal, special events, and programs.
• Assist with ARD/IEP paperwork; collect and enter data for special education reports and documents.
• Assist with planning, preparation and implementation of differentiated instruction for individuals or groups.
• May be assigned to Life Skills, Behavioral, or other SPED settings; provide specialized instruction and services as needed.
• Provide academic and/or behavioral support to small groups or individual students.
• May need CPI certification or equivalent to implement de-escalation techniques and safe restraint procedures during crisis situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
