Jobvite, Inc. is seeking an entry control officer to safeguard our clients, employees, and visitors. The role emphasizes vigilance, observation, and incident response to maintain a secure environment across premises through surveillance and prompt action.

The ideal candidate will handle alarms, enforce policies, and document events while coordinating with law enforcement if needed. Prior security or law enforcement exposure is preferred, with CPR/First Aid certification a plus.

Qualifications

• Must speak, read and write English fluently.
• Must be over 21 years old.
• Must have a valid Class D security license.
• Must be proficient in the use of computers.
• Must have a valid driver\'s license.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from assignments.
• Must pass drug screening.
• Must take a pre-employment placement exam.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of suspicious activity.
• Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure coverage of the premises.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies per protocols.
• Enforce security policies and procedures to maintain safety on-site.
• Conduct regular inspections of property and equipment for risks.
• Confront individuals in restricted areas and obtain information on their presence.
• Document incidents and prepare shift reports detailing observations and actions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary for incident resolution.

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring premises through surveillance systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Possible duties and responsibilities:

• Monitor assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of suspicious activity.
• Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage of the premises.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies while following established protocols.
• Enforce security policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment for all individuals on-site.
• Conduct regular inspections of property and equipment to identify potential security risks.
• Ability to confront an individual(s) and solicit information from them as to why they are in a restricted area/property.
• Document incidents and prepare reports detailing observations and actions taken during shifts.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure effective incident resolution.

Experience:

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of conflict management techniques and loss prevention strategies is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with surveillance technology and CCTV operation is an advantage.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with diverse individuals in various situations.
