Oakmont of East Sacramento is seeking a Medication Nurse, LVN/LPN, to supervise and administer medications to residents under physician orders, in line with nursing standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Prefer one year of experience assisting with medications in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• Knowledge of assisted living and dementia care concepts is expected.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Coordinate medication services with residents, pharmacy, and physicians.
• Maintain accurate, complete medication and care records per policy.
• Prepare medications for distribution and ensure proper storage.
• Observe and document medication administration and refusals, reporting discrepancies.
