Job summary

Oakmont Fresno seeks a Medication Nurse to supervise and assist in administering medications to residents under physician orders, following nursing standards and company policy. You will manage the medications room/cart, maintain records, and coordinate with pharmacy and physicians.

The role requires California RN or LVN licensure, with a preference for 1 year of RCFE medication assistance and the ability to work with seniors and adapt to changing circumstances.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid California licensed RN or LVN in good standing.
• Prefer 1 year of experience assisting with medications in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as ordered by physician and in line with policy.
• Supervise medications room/cart and maintain inventory.
• Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.
• Coordinate with residents, pharmacies and physicians.
• Perform narcotic counts at shift start/end and report discrepancies.
• Ensure proper storage, access control and adherence to safety protocols.
