Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Complete “Personnel Record” (LIC 501).
• Complete “Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Suspected Abuse of Dependent Adults and Elders” (SOC 341A).
• Entry-level training prior to presence with client(s).

Responsibilities

• Assist with the activities of daily living and personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and ambulation.
• Support with transferring, ambulating, positioning and toileting.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with self-administered medications.
• Perform light housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, laundry and errands.
• Ensure care is delivered in a caring, respectful manner per company policies and state regulations.

Job Description Summary

• Personal Care Attendant-Caregivers provide non-medical service and assistance to a client in their home and communities, who, because of advanced age or physical or mental disability, cannot perform these services.

These services enable the client to remain in their residence and include, but are not limited to, assistance with the following: bathing, dressing, feeding, exercising, personal hygiene and grooming, transferring, ambulating, positioning, toileting and incontinence care, assisting with medication that the client self-administers, housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, laundry, correspondence, and companionship.

• Personal Care Attendant-Caregivers are responsible for ensuring that service is delivered in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with relevant company policies, industry standards, and state regulations.
