Job summary

REM Community Services, a part of Sevita, seeks a dedicated caregiver to support individuals with developmental disabilities in West Virginia. This full-time role runs 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with on-demand pay options and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will build meaningful relationships, assist with daily living activities, and help participants pursue personal goals such as nutrition, exercise, and community integration. A high school diploma and compassionate demeanor are required.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Ability to stay calm and solve problems in stressful situations.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance where required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as eating, dressing, bathing, and toileting.
• Help participants with daily living activities and pursue personal goals like nutrition and exercise.
• Support participants with community involvement and behavioral support as needed.
• Maintain safety and promptly report changes to supervisors.
