Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Sourcing Manager for Decorative Textiles to drive product development from design through shipment. You will partner with the VP of Sourcing to align with brand aesthetics, quality, and value while educating merchants and training Associate Sourcing Managers.

You will manage cross-functional sourcing operations, collaborate with suppliers globally, and develop workflows with leadership to improve processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate required.
• 5+ years sourcing experience in Product Development/Sourcing/Merchandising within a large retail chain.
• Knowledge of product development and production processes including materials and machinery.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated proficiency in negotiating and influencing skills.
• Proficient in retail math.
• Strong critical thinking with a solution-focused approach; ability to analyze information and make recommendations.
• Comfort with changing priorities in multitask environment; global partner communication skills preferred.
• Fluency in Bengali, Hindi, or Mandarin Chinese a plus.
• Strong PC/Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing and product development operational functions for designated product categories from concept to production to shipment.
• Identify and communicate risks; propose solutions to Directors/VPs.
• Evaluate samples for aesthetic and quality; cost engineering and HTS knowledge.
• Maintain milestone calendars; flag issues and update teams.
• Facilitate vendor/agent communication to ensure on-time shipments and issue resolution.
• Share market insights to optimize Ross/dd’s assortment decisions.
