JOB SUMMARY:

The Decoration Production Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day decoration operations on the production floor. They are responsible for monitoring open orders and ship dates while maintaining the posted lead times. Works closely with planning, DC, leads, and maintenance in order to establish and maintain an efficient flow of work. Communicates with the site leader and assistant site leader about production and staff needs in a timely manner. Is responsible for training and cross training employees to create a strong work force. Maintains the company’s quality standards and expectations in all facets of the department. Adheres to, encourages, and enforces the company’s safety policies. This position will drive continuous improvement using metrics and lean manufacturing principles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as required):

  • Ability to assess workload and production needs based on Work Order System reports and the priority list.
  • Ability to shift focus and personnel effectively to manage bottlenecks.
  • Works as a team and promotes a collaborative environment.
  • Confident working closely with management, planning, and other stakeholders.
  • Prioritizes a clean and organized work environment.
  • Responds to emails and/or answers tickets as needed in a timely manner.
  • Takes ownership in training employees and defining SOPs.
  • Promotes continuous improvement of the department.
  • Continuously builds knowledge around all decoration functions and equipment.
  • Prioritizes and upholds the company’s Safety Policies.
  • Follows up on picking errors or other paperwork issues promoting an accurate inventory.
  • Reviews and keeps track of embroidery and patch orders ensuring 100% on time delivery.
  • Ability to identify and process rework of decoration.
  • Manage employee time sheets and time off requests daily.
  • Leads the decoration team through strong communication, listening skills, collaboration and accountability.
  • Coaches, guides, and supports leads in their areas of expertise.
  • Models for the team a strong work ethic, positive communication, problem solving, and company rules.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a decoration production environment or in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to use/learn company software and programs used in the scheduling and order management processes.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills including Teams, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Strong leadership skills required.
  • Ability to manage individuals and teams.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position works in a temperature-controlled warehouse, however it can be hot in the summer and cool in the winter.

WORK HOURS:

  • Full-Time, Monday- Friday, 4:00PM to 12:30AM.
  • Overtime and weekend work may be requested during busy periods.

DRESS CODE:

  • Dress appropriate.
  • Closed-toe shoes are required.
  • Wear all required PPE.
