Job summary

CCL Industries in Carson, CA is seeking a Machine Press Operator in Decorating/Printing. You will set up printing equipment to meet job specs, run production, and perform ongoing visual inspections for leaks, misalignments, and quality issues.

You will troubleshoot lithograph and offset printing equipment, adjust settings to customer specs, maintain GMP and safety policies, and complete production/quality records.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent experience in printing trades or similar manufacturing environment.
• High School diploma or GED; or tenth grade equivalent education plus 3–4 years applicable experience.
• Ability to read job specs and procure tooling/materials as needed.
• Proficiency in identifying equipment malfunctions and initiating repairs.

Responsibilities

• Read job specs upon order and procure applicable tooling and materials.
• Set up printing equipment to accommodate job orders and specs.
• Perform ongoing visual inspection of machine for leaks and misalignments.
• Troubleshoot lithograph and offset printing equipment.
• Make adjustments to meet customer specifications.
• Regularly check for compliance to customer specs and quality standards.
• Promptly report equipment malfunctions, material, safety or quality issues.
• Complete Production/Quality Control worksheets accurately.
• Perform line clearance procedures during product changes.
• Follow GMP and safety policies and conduct special projects as directed.
• Support a safe, collaborative team environment and participate in continuous improvement.
