Job summary

Master Halco, Inc. is seeking an experienced Decking, Railing and Outdoor Structures Outside Sales Associate to grow DR&OS sales in assigned territory.

The role emphasizes face‑to‑face customer calls and collaboration with inside/outside sales teams to drive growth. The ideal candidate will build relationships with contractors, deliver value through STEPS training, and expand product offerings while traveling up to 75% of the time in North America.

Master Halco: Fence & Deck Supply, North America’s leading manufacturer/distributor of fence and deck products is seeking is seeking an experienced Decking and Railing and Outdoor Structures Outside Sales Associate (DROSA)!

The Decking and Railing Outside Sales Associate is responsible for leading the charge to grow profitable sales of Decking, Railing and Outdoor Structures (DR&OS) within their assigned territory. The Decking and Railing Outside Sales Associate is focused to grow sales by making face‑to‑face calls on current customers as well as prospecting for new business. Internally the DROSA must work with inside and outside salespeople along with managers to help lead, educate and support them in growing DR&OS sales as a dedicated salesforce multiplier for the team.

The ideal candidate has the experience and drive to build new relationships at a pace that supports fast sales conversions and generates repeat business. They have a talent for establishing trust quickly and are committed to becoming a true partner to our contractors, rather than simply acting as a material supplier.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-the-job training with coworkers, provide value which is customer serving
• Build long‑lasting business relationships and sell products
• Utilize our internal STEPS training program to create value for internal and external customers
• Become a STEPS program expert with the ability to lead and train Inside Sales teams using the program
• Ensures teammates are aware of all available sales tools and resources
• If opportunities arise to sell non‑decking and railing & outdoor structures such as fencing arise, facilitate sales and or hand off to the appropriate salesperson

Accountabilities:

• Lead the way and achieve sales and margin goals for decking railing and outdoor structures for designated branch location
  • Expand and diversify the customer base
  • Launch, grow and expand decking railing and outdoor structures product offerings to be a complete source for the customers
  • Work with managers to create and execute short- and long-term sales plans that are measurable and have a clear objective
  • Including market analysis and sales strategy development
• Make face to face sales calls with a customer serving mindset employing principles of the STEPS program
• Perform hands‑on product knowledge and value proposition training for associates and customers
• Provide Sales Support and product expertise to customers as well as Master Halco Associates
• Develop relationships with and enlist the help of additional internal and external resources when needed including Manufacturers and Distributors

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Work Equivalent
• Excellent face‑to‑face sales, training, and presentation skills with both small and large groups
• Driven and results oriented
• Ability to support sales teams in new product expansion to meet company targets
• Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization
• Successful track record of selling into the building materials industry and home center/hardware stores preferred
• Decking, Railing, Outdoor Structures, Fencing, and/or Building Materials industry experience preferred
• Ability to travel overnight as needed
• Proficient with Internetsoftware, sales/presentations software, Excel, and Word processing software
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to travel within assigned territory up to 75% of the time
