Job summary

Southern West Virginia Asphalt, Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Deck Hand/Laborer in the Dunbar area. The role involves operating a loader and a skidsteer, decking, and unloading from barges, with manual tasks such as shoveling and hand brooming as required.

Candidates should be able to partner with crew, follow plan specifications, and be willing to perform other duties to meet daily schedules. A high school diploma is preferred, and clean drug screening and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must partner with crew members per plan specifications and, if needed, perform tasks of other positions as instructed by crew foreman.
• Must be able to operate a loader and skidsteer.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Initiative to perform/assist with other positions for job completions.
• Attitude/cooperation: always maintain courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, and the general public.
• Must pass a drug screening and background check.
