Job summary

Milwaukee River Cruise Line is seeking motivated, reliable individuals to join our deckhand team for the 2023 season, working aboard our fleet of tour boats in Milwaukee. The role supports the captain with navigation and docking and ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for passengers and crew.

Responsibilities include assisting with boarding, mooring, checklists, and safety drills; maintaining vessels and equipment; and keeping an accurate passenger count while providing friendly

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50lbs, continuous walking and/or standing, and tolerate weather exposure.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test as per USCG regulations.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including ticket collection.

• Maintain daily pre- and post-cruise checklists.
• Understand procedures for Man Overboard, Fire at Sea and Abandon Ship.
• Participate in USCG required training drills.

• General maintenance, including cleaning, painting and washing the vessels.
• Act as lookout during inclement weather.
• Keep an accurate passenger count.

Milwaukee River Cruise Line is hiring motivated, hard working, reliable individuals to work as DECKHANDS aboard our fleet of tour boats for the 2023 season.

Job Summary: A deckhand assists the captain with navigation and docking, maintains a clean, safe, comfortable environment for passengers and crew members, and projects a positive and friendly image in order to provide quality customer service.
