Job summary

Summit Reconstruction & Restoration is seeking a Deck Coater to prep surfaces, apply waterproofing systems, and coat decks, balconies, and walkways. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities include surface preparation, coating application, tool operation, and quality inspections, with emphasis on safety and compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in deck coating, waterproofing, concrete restoration, painting, or related construction preferred.
• Ability to read and follow manufacturer specifications and work instructions.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices and PPE use.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deck, balcony, and walkway surfaces by cleaning, grinding, sanding, scarifying, and pressure washing.
• Remove damaged coatings, sealants, and contaminants to ensure proper adhesion of new materials.
• Apply primers, waterproof membranes, deck coatings, sealants, and protective finishes per manufacturer specs.
• Mix and prepare coating materials using correct ratios and application techniques.
• Install reinforcing fabrics, flashing materials, and waterproofing components.
• Operate hand and power tools, grinders, pressure washers, sprayers, and rollers.
• Maintain jobsite cleanliness and proper containment of dust and debris.
• Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to project specs.
• Follow OSHA safety policies and wear proper PPE at all times.
