Role Overview

Perform decarbonization studies, energy audits, and retro-commissioning. Responsibilities include site reviews, greenhouse gas and energy savings analysis, cost estimation, and report writing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct energy audits (ASHRAE Level 1 to investment grade) across various industries
  • Understand complex building systems
  • Recommend innovative energy and carbon reduction measures
  • Inventory GHG emissions and establish baselines
  • Calculate and report on energy savings and GHG reductions
  • Develop project cost estimates
  • Perform hands-on retro-commissioning activities using calibrated testing equipment
  • Develop decarbonization and electrification strategies
  • Assess renewable and energy efficiency technologies
  • Prepare technical reports and participate in client presentations
  • Coordinate with experts, manage project schedules and budgets
  • Build positive industry relationships
  • Travel may be required occasionally
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in energy, decarbonization, or sustainability projects
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with energy audits and retro-commissioning
  • Engineering degree and knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD
  • PE certification or working toward it; additional certifications like CEM, CBCP, EBCP are a plus
Compensation

$74,181 - $130,206 annually
