Decarbonization / Energy Engineer II (NORESCO)

Join to apply for the Decarbonization / Energy Engineer II (NORESCO) role at Carrier Refrigeration.

Position Overview

This role involves performing decarbonization studies, energy audits, and retro-commissioning, including site reviews, greenhouse gas and energy savings analysis, cost estimates, and report writing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform energy audits (ASHRAE Level 1 through investment grade) across various industries.
  • Understand complex building systems and recommend energy and carbon reduction measures.
  • Inventory GHG emissions, establish baselines, and analyze energy and GHG savings.
  • Develop project cost estimates and utilize testing equipment for retro-commissioning activities.
  • Create strategic decarbonization and electrification plans, evaluate renewable technologies.
  • Prepare technical reports and participate in client presentations.
  • Coordinate with experts, manage project schedules and budgets, and foster industry relationships.
  • Occasional out-of-state travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in energy, decarbonization, or sustainability projects.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with energy audits and retro-commissioning.
  • Engineering degree and knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
  • PE certification or working towards it; additional certifications like CEM, CBCP, EBCP are a plus.
