Job description

Our team lives by Four Core Values. We are Personable, Tenacious, Innovative, and Focused on Selfless Service. We are currently seeking to hire a Decanner Operator who embodies these values.

Responsibilities of the Decanner Operator
  1. Operate decanning machinery to cut open catalytic converters and extract internal materials.
  2. Inspect catalytic converters for quality and type before processing.
  3. Ensure safe handling and separation of metal materials.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent contamination and ensure operational efficiency.
  5. Monitor machinery for performance issues and perform basic troubleshooting as needed.
  6. Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), dust collection systems, and proper handling of sharp or hazardous components.
  7. Assist with sorting and categorizing materials for downstream processing or refining, and communicate any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
  8. Perform general housekeeping duties and upgrade other materials as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Previous experience in recycling and manufacturing is preferred.
  3. Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
  4. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  5. Commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.
  6. Forklift experience.

Hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays from 8 am to noon.
