Reports to: Production Manager / Lead Machinist

About This Role

Every precision part that leaves our shop has to be perfect — and you're the one who makes sure it looks and feels that way. As a Deburring & Finishing Technician, you'll hand-finish CNC machined parts to customer specifications, removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections. You'll work with deburring tools, tumbling media, bead blast equipment, and prep parts for anodize, plating, and other surface treatments.

This is an excellent entry point into precision manufacturing. You'll learn how parts are made, what aerospace quality standards look like, and how to handle high-value components. Many of our machinists started in finishing. We're a startup — if you show up, work hard, and pay attention, there's a real path to a machining career.

Key Responsibilities

• Deburr CNC machined parts using hand tools, files, and rotary tools
• Operate tumbling and vibratory finishing equipment
• Perform bead blasting and surface preparation
• Prep parts for anodize, plating, passivation, and other surface treatments
• Inspect finished parts for burrs, scratches, and surface defects
• Follow work instructions and finishing specifications for each job
• Handle and protect high-value aerospace components during finishing
• Maintain finishing equipment and work area cleanliness
• Package finished parts for shipment or next operation
• Document finishing operations and report quality issues

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions precisely
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Basic understanding of measurement tools (calipers, gauges) is a plus
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment (noise, coolant, metal chips)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in deburring, finishing, or manufacturing
• Familiarity with aerospace surface finish requirements
• Knowledge of different metal types (aluminum, steel, titanium)
• Experience with bead blasting or tumbling equipment
• Interest in pursuing CNC machining as a career
