Abrams Airborne Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Deburring & Finishing Technician to join our shop floor. This hands-on role focuses on smoothing burrs, deburring, and polishing machined parts and welds to exacting standards in a safety‑conscious environment.

You will read work orders, follow engineering drawings, and log finished parts while maintaining quality checks. This entry‑level position offers growth in a precision manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow company and department policies and procedures.
• A positive, team‑oriented communication style.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Smooth burrs and sharp edges from machined parts and welds using hand files.
• Operate abrasive wheels, belts, brushes, bead blast machines, and tumblers to remove burrs.
• Buff and polish with orbital sanders for a clean, finished look.
• Check own work to meet high quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures and posted guidelines.
• Read work orders and engineering drawings.
• Keep accurate counts of finished parts per work order.
• Log work and route parts to next department.

Ready to put the finishing touch on a variety of parts? We're looking for a detail-oriented, hands‑on team member to join our shop floor as a Deburring & Finishing Technician. You'll work under direct supervision, so it's a great role whether you're just starting out in manufacturing or bringing experience from another shop.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Smoothing out excess metal, sharp edges, and burrs from machined parts and welds using hand files
• Running abrasive wheels, belts, brushes, bead blast machines, and tumblers to get parts burr‑free
• Buffing and polishing with orbital sanders for that clean, finished look
• Checking your own work along the way to make sure it meets our high‑quality standards
• Following all safety procedures and posted guidelines — safety comes first, always
• Reading and following work orders and engineering drawings
• Keeping accurate counts of finished parts per work order
• Logging your work and routing parts to the next department

What We’re Looking For

The Nitty‑Gritty (Physical Requirements)

This is an active, hands‑on role. You should be comfortable with:

• Standing and sitting for extended periods while doing repetitive tasks
• Lifting up to 50 lbs
• Good manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination
• Working in a moderate to dusty environment

• No supervisory responsibilities — this role is all about your own craftsmanship
