Job summary

Amtech is seeking a detail-oriented Deburr to support the finishing and preparation of precision components used in semiconductor and aerospace applications. This role removes burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections using a variety of hand tools and finishing equipment to meet strict quality standards.

The candidate will inspect parts visually and with basic measurement tools, follow drawings and work instructions, and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

  • Experience in deburring, hand finishing, or precision part preparation in semiconductor, aerospace, or similar manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic inspection and metrology tools.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move parts as required (typically up to 25–35 lbs).

Responsibilities

  • Perform deburring, hand-finishing, and edge-break operations on metal components.
  • Use hand tools such as files, scrapers, sandpaper, air pens, die grinders, and right-angle grinders.
  • Inspect parts visually and with basic measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify conformance.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and quality specifications.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency when working with small, delicate, or high-precision parts.
  • Handle and move parts safely throughout the finishing process.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety and quality standards.
  • Communicate any defects, irregularities, or process concerns to the supervisor or quality team.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move parts as required (typically up to 25-35 lbs.)
  • Experience working in cleanroom or controlled environments is a plus but not required
