Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in deburring or closely related finishing.

Responsibilities

• Edge finishing and cleaning: Safely remove burrs, sharp edges, scale, and excess material from metal or plastic components using hand tools (files, scrapers, deburring knives) and power tools (grinders, rotary tools, sanders).
• Set up and operate deburring equipment such as tumbling barrels, vibratory finishers, wire wheels, or belt sanders.
• Read blueprints or work instructions to determine required surface finishes and edge radii.
• Perform visual and tactile inspections with precision tools to meet client specifications and tight tolerances.
• Move raw materials and finished parts safely around the facility.
• Maintain tools, perform basic troubleshooting, and keep the workspace orderly.
• Complete daily production logs and quality reports.

Using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery, the operator ensures all finished parts meet precise engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Edge Finishing & Cleaning: Safely remove burrs, sharp edges, scale, and excess material from metal or plastic components using hand tools (files, scrapers, deburring knives) and power tools (grinders, rotary tools, sanders).
• Equipment Operation: Set up and operate automated or semi-automated deburring equipment, such as tumbling barrels, vibratory finishers, wire wheels, or belt sanders.
• Blueprint Reading & Inspection: Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine required surface finishes and edge radii.
• Quality Control: Perform visual and tactile inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators) to ensure parts meet client specifications and tight tolerances.

• Documentation: Complete daily production logs, inspection sheets, and scrap reports accurately.
