Projects Inc. is seeking a Deburr Technician to join our team. Projects Inc. is a manufacturer of complex small components machined for the Aerospace and Power Systems industries and has been in business for over fifty years.

Position Description:

Projects Inc. is seeking a Deburr Technician to join our team. Projects Inc. is a manufacturer of complex small components machined for the Aerospace and Power Systems industries and has been in business for over fifty years.

The qualified candidate will operate deburring tools to grind, sand, clean, filing and/or polish parts to meet customer requirements and work within extremely close tolerances

Responsibilities

  • Grind, sand, clean, filing and/or polish parts to correct defects.
  • Prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools to meet finish requirements while holding extremely close tolerances.
  • Move controls to adjust, start, or stop equipment during grinding and polishing processes.
  • Verify quality of finished workpieces through inspecting them, comparing them to templates, measuring their dimensions, or testing them in working machinery.
  • Operation of multiple deburr tools and use of a downdraft tables.
  • Remove completed workpieces from equipment or worktables, using hand tools, and place workpieces in containers.
  • Works from blueprints, written and verbalized instructions.
  • Checks height, depth and thickness using calipers and surface conditions visually.
  • Uses thread gages to verify thread conformance.
  • May rotate into other positions within the team as required to meet production requirements.
  • Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.
  • Participates in team meetings as required (safety, problem solving, etc.).
  • Problem-solves individually or as part of a group as job duties require.
  • May be required to work overtime.

Requirements

Physical Limitations:

  • Lifting up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Pulling, pushing, sitting, reaching, and standing for up to eight (8) + hours per day.

Key Skills And Abilities Required

  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to operate general shop equipment, including hand grinders, buffers, etc.
  • Previous experience working in a machine shop is preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Projects, Inc. participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your FormI-9 information to verify you are authorized to work in the United States. Projects, Inc. will only use E-Verify once you have accepted a job offer and have completed the Form I-9 upon hire.
