Job summary

PacAero in Agawam, MA is seeking a Deburr Technician who excels at precision finishing of machined parts. You will deburr components with hand tools and precision equipment, inspect with microscopes, and verify dimensions against drawings.

You’ll read engineering documents, report defects, maintain clean work areas, and support continuous improvement in a safety‑driven environment. ITAR compliance and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in deburring, finishing, polishing, or precision manufacturing.
• Experience working with small, intricate machined components.
• Comfortable using microscopes and precision measuring or inspection equipment.
• Read engineering drawings and follow manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Deburr precision-machined metal components using hand tools, rotary tools, files, stones, and specialized equipment.
• Inspect parts under microscopes and magnification equipment to ensure cosmetic and dimensional quality.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections without compromising critical dimensions.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, travelers, and specifications.
• Identify defects or quality concerns and communicate issues to Quality or Production leadership.
• Maintain accurate production documentation.
• Keep work areas organized, clean, and compliant with safety requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve quality and efficiency.
• Work closely with Machining, Inspection, and Quality teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow manufacturing documentation
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Must be able to meet ITAR requirements (U.S. Person as defined by U.S. export regulations)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to perform repetitive fine-detail workOccasionally lift up to 20 pounds
• Ability to work safely with hand tools, rotary equipment, and magnification systems

Compensation

The compensation range listed is PacAero's good faith estimate of the expected pay for this position at the time of posting and is provided in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Final compensation is based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, education, certifications, internal equity, market data, and business needs. Total compensation includes opportunities for performance-based incentives, where applicable, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
