Job summary

VERUS AEROSPACE FINANCE INC in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Deburr Operator for multiple shifts to smooth and finish metal components in aerospace manufacturing. You will read blueprints and specifications and perform finishing techniques to meet exact dimensional tolerances.

Responsibilities include grinding, filing, sanding, and polishing surfaces; removing burrs with power tools; verifying dimensions with micrometers and calipers; inspecting parts and maintaining a clean, safe work area; and

Qualifications

• 1-3 years deburring metal components experience in aerospace preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, blueprints and work instructions.

Salary Range: $20.50 To $25.00 Hourly

Position Summary

Performs machine and hand finishing techniques to smooth and blend rough components into finished products according. Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, sketches, and product/engineering specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Grind, file, sand and polish metal surfaces to a specified shape and smoothness using hand tools.
• Remove metal burrs and smooth out contoured surfaces with power tools.
• Verify dimensions and radius, using micrometers, dial indicators and calipers.
• Inspect and measure parts.
• Ensure organized and clean work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• 1-3 years prior experience deburring metal components within the Aerospace industry is desired.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, blue prints, work instructions and use standard machine shop tools.
• Experience working in an environment of continuous process improvement and track record of developing and implementing process improvements. AS9100 experience desired.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. English proficiency is required.
• Needs to be self-motivated and must be able to work independently on assignments with minimal oversight or direction.
• Ability to interact effectively with supervision, management and customer representatives.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of basic shop math.
• Demonstrated knowledge of workplace Health and Safety requirements.
