Job summary

STMW Manufacturing is seeking a Grinder/Polisher to set up and operate grinding and finishing tools. You will remove burrs, inspect parts to blueprints, and document outcomes. The role requires lifting up to 55 lbs and weekend availability.

You'll interpret drawings, verify tolerances, and work in a team to maintain quality standards. This position is on-site with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate grinding, polishing and buffing processes to remove burrs and surface imperfections on metal and plastic parts
• Inspect parts for conformance to blueprints and quality standards
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine deburring requirements and surface finish specifications
• Document inspection data and report non-conformities to the supervisor or quality department

Job Summary

• Grinding, Polishing, and Buffing Machine Tool Setters, Operators, and Tenders
• Metal and Plastic: Set up, operate, or tend grinding and related tools that remove excess material or burrs from surfaces, sharpen edges or corners, or buff, hone, or polish metal or plastic work pieces.
• Competitive Pay (depends on experience).
• Able to lift 55 lbs. consistently.

Responsibilities

• Deburring & Finishing: Meticulously inspects and removes burrs, sharp edges, and other surface imperfections from metal, plastic and other materials using a variety of hand and power tools (e.g. files, sanders, grinders).
• Quality Control: Perform visual and quality to verify parts meet blueprint specifications and comply with company quality standards.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Reads and understands complex engineering drawings, blueprints and work instructions to identify deburring requirements, tolerances and surface finish specifications.
• Documentation: Records inspection data and process improvements and reports any non-conforming parts to a supervisor or quality department.

WEEKEND SHIFT: FRIDAY – SUNDAY, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
