Job description

Korn Ferry has partnered with an elite CT law firm in a search for a DEBT FINANCE Associate with 4-7 years of experience with senior secured and mezzanine financings.

This role will be in a hybrid work environment in its CT (Fairfield County) office and is commutable by Metro-North. The firm’s office is across the street from the train station.

Many Big Law refugees have joined this firm since it values a work-life balance culture, with lower billable requirements, while still representing sophisticated clients and transactions.

This Debt Finance practice represents private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, other borrowers, and lenders in medium- to large-cap financing transactions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Represent borrowers and lenders that include private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, investment funds, and lenders, in a variety of transaction structures to facilitate acquisitions and to provide clients with working capital and other liquidity needs
• Advise on acquisition and leveraged financings, syndicated credit transactions (investment and non-investment grade), asset-based loan financings, cash-flow financings, second lien financings, unitranche financings, mezzanine and other subordinated debt financings, restructurings, workouts, and debtor-in-possession financings, dividend recapitalizations, bridge financings, fund lines of credit and other fund financings

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• 4-7 years of senior secured and mezzanine financings
• Admitted to NY state bar or any state bar
• Relocation candidates will be considered
• Graduated from a top law school

COMPENSATION

• $250K-$340K base salary, depending on JD year status, plus a bonus
