The Gazebo, a coastal bliss, is the much-anticipated destination for our members to enjoy the essence of summer serenity. Nestled along the oceanfront pool and beach, this outdoor sanctuary invites patrons to enjoy an assortment of summer libations, including refreshing cocktails and culinary delights.

A fusion of elegance and comfort, the DeBordieu Beach Club is one of the latest renovated beachfront dining gems that is perfect for all seasons. With its outdoor screened-in porch, spacious seating, cozy couch area and fireplace, modern high-top tables and luminous bars, this space transcends mere elegance, offering warmth amidst the coastal allure. Two of our newest dining spaces at the Beach Club are Lafayette and Lulu’s, both named after historical figures and aspects of DeBordieu’s rich heritage. Both spaces feature open kitchens, allowing our talented chefs to showcase their culinary expertise while engaging with the members and guests alike.

Whether it's lounging with friends or savoring solitude by the sea at the Gazebo or gathering for a more sophisticated meal with a spectacular panoramic view from the ocean front Beach Club, both will make every day at the beach an occasion throughout the year!

Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Vibrantly greets and acknowledges every member and guest in a friendly and timely manner that is warm and welcoming.
  • Support servers and bartenders as needed to maintain smooth operations.
  • Clean and organize the bar area, including wiping down the bar counter and polishing silverware.
  • Collect dirty dishes, bus tables, and maintain cleanliness in all common areas.
  • Restock bar items, including ice and drinkware as needed.
  • Keep ice wells full and ensure coolers are stocked with necessary items.
  • Organize back-stock inventory to ensure easy access to necessary supplies.
  • Safely take out trash and recyclables, ensuring proper disposal and adhering to safety standards for handling waste materials.
  • Maintain an inviting and clean environment in the bar area for guests.
  • Completes opening and closing duties and side work.
  • Maintains high standard of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing proper and complete uniform and name tag.
  • Maintains safe work habits and work environment.
  • Attends pre-shift and designated staff meetings as well as training sessions.
  • Performs any other reasonable duties as required by management.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School/GED
  • Minimum of one year work experience serving/bartending in a restaurant or food establishment.
  • The ability to read, write and execute basic math skills.

Licenses and Special Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 to serve or 21 to tend the bar.
  • Alcoholic beverage certification is a plus.
  • Food safety certification is a plus.
  • Country Club or Golf Club experience is a plus but not required.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • CPR/AED and/or First Aid Certification a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Required to stand for long periods and walks, climbs stairs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, bends, stretches and twists or reaches.
  • Carries and balances a tray to get food to the designated table.
  • Pushes, pulls or lifts up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuous repetitive motions.
  • Works in a hot, humid and noisy environment.

PT/FT Hourly, nonexempt, seasonal
