Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio seeks a dynamic Dean for the John W. Garland College of Engineering, Science, Technology, and Agriculture (JWGCESTA).

The Dean serves as chief academic and administrative officer, reporting to the Provost, and collaborates with the Deans' Council and related units to advance STEM education and research. The ideal candidate will provide visionary leadership, oversee accreditation and budgeting, and foster diversity, inclusion, and student success

Qualifications

• Provides visionary leadership to the College and its departments.
• Liaises between JWGCESTA and Academic Affairs.
• Leads planning, accreditation, and strategic initiatives across online programs and facilities.
• Collaborates with Research on Agricultural programs and Extension.
• Evaluates faculty and oversees retention, promotion, and tenure recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develops strategic plans and ensures program innovation.
• Oversees budgeting, personnel, and student matters for JWGCESTA.
• Advances diversity, inclusion, and student success across STEAM fields.
• Represents the college to external partners and state/local stakeholders.
