Job summary

Great Hearts Arlington Lower School in Arlington, TX, seeks a Dean of Teachers to coach and develop faculty, lead professional development, and uphold classical pedagogy across the academy. The role reports to the Headmaster and is exempt, salary.

You will supervise instructional quality, coordinate curricular alignment, observe teachers, and participate in events; a Bachelor's is required with at least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with a Great Books curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience or equivalent in the field.
• Experience in liberal arts or Great Books curriculum preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop teachers to elevate instructional quality.
• Lead professional development and staff trainings.
• Coordinate curricular alignment across subjects.
• Assist Headmaster with classroom observations and evaluations.
• Teach or substitute when necessary and support events (parent nights, open houses).
