Job summary

The School of Science & Technology seeks a Dean of Students to collaborate with the Principal in implementing discipline and behavior programs, and to provide proactive leadership to support student achievement and development. You will work with counselors, nurses, staff, students and parents to foster a positive school climate and ensure safe, inclusive learning environments.

This full-time exempt position requires a Bachelor’s degree, teaching experience and possibly a teaching certificate;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Teaching certificate preferred.
• Minimum of two years of exemplary teaching.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the school’s discipline and behavior programs with the Principal.
• Respond to diverse student population challenges as a professional educator.
• Provide proactive leadership to engage stakeholders in programs and services for student achievement and development.

JOB ROLES:

The Dean of Students works with the Principal in carrying out the school’s discipline and behavior programs. As a professional educator, the DeanStudents understand and respond to the challenges presented by today’s diverse student population. Dean of Students provides proactiveleadership to engage all stakeholders in the delivery of programs and services to support the students’ academic achievement, personal andsocial development. Dean of Students works cooperatively with the principal, counselor, nurse, staff, students and parents towards a positiveschool climate.
