Job summary

The Illinois Association of School Administrators seeks a Dean of Students at the high school level to guide student academic progress, monitor attendance, ensure safety, and support staff with classroom management initiatives.

Under the Principal’s direction, you will identify students with attendance or disciplinary issues and engage with parents to foster positive outcomes. You will also establish and assess development plans and their effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Four years of teaching experience.
• State of Illinois General Administrative Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Promotes students’ academic progress and ensures good attendance rates.
• Maintains school safety and supports campus violence prevention.
• Develops classroom management programs for staff guidance.
• Identifies students with attendance issues or disciplinary problems and addresses issues with parents.
• Establishes development plans and evaluates the effectiveness of those programs.
