Job summary

Distinctive Schools of IL in Chicago, IL seeks a Dean of Students to ensure a safe and positive learning environment. You will work closely with the Principal, lead school culture initiatives, and supervise the Culture Team. The role requires K-12 experience, a relevant Bachelor's degree, and strong collaboration with families and staff.

Salary starts at $79,987 with commensurate experience. Regular full-time position starting November 2026, reporting to the Principal.

Qualifications

• K-12th Grade education experience.
• Bachelor's degree in listed fields.
• Urban setting experience preferred.
• Proficient with cloud-based software (GoogleSuite).

Responsibilities

• Respond to Student Code of Conduct incidents and maintain safe, positive climate.
• Lead school culture initiatives and supervise the Culture Team.
• Support attendance tracking and parent communications per school policy.
• Oversee discipline data, reporting, and compliance with DS model.
• Collaborate with leadership, staff and families to promote student success.
