BASIS is seeking qualified candidates for a Dean of Students in the East Phoenix Metro Area for the 2025/2026 school year!

The Dean of Students helps lead efforts to build and maintain a strong, positive, achievement-oriented school culture. This position manages behavior programs and models how to establish mutually respectful relationships with students and families. The Dean is a visible presence in all school areas and is responsible for student well-being during school hours.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred)
  • 3-5 years experience in a school setting (charter or independent preferred)
  • Behavior management or relevant experience preferred
Primary Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in resolving communication issues with parents and students
  • Organize student arrival and dismissal
  • Assess numeracy, reading comprehension, and problem-solving skills for new students and during assessments
  • Review progress reports and mid-semester reports
  • Implement and oversee student academic and behavioral support
  • Maintain student discipline with proper documentation
  • Communicate and meet with parents regarding student performance and conduct
  • Participate in developing academic and student schedules
  • Plan and execute standardized assessments
  • Support teachers in building positive parent relationships
  • Attend all faculty and staff meetings
