Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District seeks a Dean of Student Support (AB) to lead the instructional program and guidance for all students with emphasis on those needing special education services.

The role requires strong expertise in behavior strategies, data-driven planning, and collaboration with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success and safe campus environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Valid Texas Teaching Certificate or out-of-state certificate.
• Special education certification preferred, but not required.
• Principal certification completed or in progress.
• ILT, ILD, or Advanced Educational Leadership (AEL) certification required.
• TTESS certification by September 1st of the hiring school year.
• Certification must meet requirements for becoming and remaining qualified for this position in a manner required by Federal and/or State law.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate learner competencies.
• Recommend goals/objectives for learner needs.
• Assist in developing/writing students' IEPs.
• Support instructional objectives based on learning styles.
• Implement new methodologies and innovations.
• Demonstrate integrity in professional conduct.
• Provide coaching and feedback to teachers.
• Support growth and development of students and staff.
• Coordinate with parents and staff to meet learner needs.
• Attend required meetings and complete reports.
• Supervise students and manage classroom environment.
