Job summary

Linn-Benton Community College seeks a Dean for Science, Engineering & Mathematics to lead division operations, manage personnel and budgets, and advance curricular goals. The role requires strategic planning, strong communication, and collaboration with college leadership and external partners.

It is an annually renewable appointment with a 248-day schedule and a starting salary commensurate with experience. Albany, OR campus offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive academic environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in a discipline related to the division.
• Three years of college-level teaching or related instructional experience.
• Two years of supervisory/department chair or equivalent management experience.
• Experience with division management and budgeting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise division personnel and staffing in cooperation with HR.
• Advise the VP and provide leadership in academic affairs and division management.
• Lead institutional planning, assessment of outcomes, and continuous improvement.
• Represent the division on college councils, committees, and external partnerships.
• Oversee curriculum development and scheduling across sites and distance formats.
