Birch Agency is seeking a Dean of Math in Brooklyn, NY to provide leadership for the mathematics program, improve student achievement, analyze data, align curriculum, and promote excellence in math instruction.

The Dean will collaborate with school leadership, teachers, students, and families to ensure high standards and successful learning outcomes. Location: Brooklyn, NY 11216.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Valid teaching certification in Mathematics or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of successful teaching experience.
• Previous instructional coaching, department chair, or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and evaluation of the mathematics curriculum.
• Ensure alignment with state standards and school goals.
• Monitor student achievement and develop strategies to improve performance.
• Promote data-driven instruction and continuous improvement.
• Observe teachers and provide constructive feedback.
• Facilitate professional development and instructional coaching.
• Support teachers with lesson planning and differentiation.
• Mentor new and developing teachers.
• Analyze assessment data to identify trends and needs.
• Develop intervention plans for struggling students.
• Monitor progress toward goals and review benchmark results.
• Foster equity and access in mathematics education.

We have a Dean of Math job opportunity in Brooklyn, NY. The Dean provides leadership for the mathematics program, focusing on improving student achievement, supporting teachers, analyzing academic data, aligning curriculum, and promoting excellence in math instruction. This role involves collaboration with school leadership, teachers, students, and families to ensure high academic standards and successful learning outcomes.

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11216

Pay Rate: $62.00/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the mathematics curriculum.
• Ensure alignment of instructional practices with state standards and school goals.
• Monitor student achievement and develop strategies to improve academic performance.
• Promote data-driven instruction and continuous improvement.
• Observe mathematics teachers and provide constructive feedback.
• Facilitate professional development and instructional coaching.
• Support teachers with lesson planning, classroom management, and differentiated instruction.
• Mentor new and developing teachers.
• Analyze student assessment data to identify trends and instructional needs.
• Develop intervention plans for struggling students.

• Coordinate benchmark assessments and review results with staff.
• Foster a positive academic culture focused on achievement and growth.
