Job summary

Birch Agency in Brooklyn, NY is seeking qualified Mathematics Teachers for High School to prepare and supervise students for the 2026/2027 school year. You will teach math according to the curriculum and guidelines.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Birch Agency is seeking Math Teachers to join our team! We are currently seeking qualified Mathematics Teachers for High School to prepare and/or supervise students in Brooklyn, NY for the 2026/2027 school year. You will be responsible for teaching these subjects in accordance with the school’s curriculum and guidelines. The objective is to create an environment that fosters the development of students’ math skills and allows them to learn from diverse sources while also nurturing their individualities.

Job Position: Math Teacher

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11216

Pay Rate: $50.00 to 57.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Provide a thorough preparation of the material for the final exam.
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, tests, and other documentation as needed.
• Implement the teaching methods and materials in a practical manner to address individual students’ needs and progress as they mature.
• Provide individualized attention to each student, encouraging them to develop their math skills and personalities.
• Establish a positive relationship with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with colleagues on projects and activities.
• Prepare reports, presentations, assignments etc. as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development programs.

Skills & Qualifications

• Able to teacher Middle school Math
• NY Teacher Certification/ License for Math or General education
• Previous experience teaching students in mathematics preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, and colleagues. Strong interpersonal skills are required.
