Job summary

Mt. San Jacinto College seeks two Deans of Instruction to oversee Arts, Communication & Design or Cal-GETC transition programs districtwide. You will lead instructional faculties, supervise staff, develop budgets, and ensure compliance with district policies, regulations and bargaining agreements.

Position is a 12-month administrative role with benefits, STRS retirement, and potential campus assignments across the district. Competitive salary and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Education: Master's degree in a discipline related to assignment.
• Experience: Five (5) years of professional experience teaching at a higher education institution and/or serving in a position increasingly responsible for instruction or curriculum development; three (3) years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in monitoring high-quality instruction across districtwide campuses and environments; promote student learning and assess outcomes.
• Participate in enrollment management efforts.
• Develop instructional class schedules for campuses and off-campus centers; oversee curriculum and catalog information.
• Hire, supervise and evaluate faculty and staff; manage staffing priorities and training.
• Develop and manage budgets; ensure fiscal accountability and compliance with funding regulations.
• Promote use of technology in classrooms and professional development activities.
• Supervise general education programs and coordinate with other deans for consistency.
• Lead program development, planning and evaluation across disciplines assigned.
