Job summary

Columbia College in Columbia, SC invites applications for the Dean of the School of Health Sciences. The Dean will provide academic leadership, steward resources, and develop programs that prepare students for careers in health sciences while strengthening community partnerships and workforce alignment.

The successful candidate will lead curriculum and program development, oversee budgeting, accreditation, and assessment, and collaborate with campus units to advance the College’s strategic plan

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in natural, physical, clinical, allied health, public health, or closely related field.
• Experience leading academic programs and faculty development.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and resources for a school.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee school-wide curriculum programs and academic planning.
• Hire and supervise School faculty and staff; manage budget with assistants.
• Collaborate with Enrollment, Marketing, Advancement, Facilities and other units.
• Develop and strengthen community, clinical, and workforce partnerships.
